What is ThermiVa?
ThermiVa is a radiofrequency (RF) energy treatment that’s commonly used for vaginal rejuvenation.
It can:

Vaginal tissues lose elasticity and firmness with age, as the collagen and elastin fibers that provide structure and suppleness break down and get replaced at a slower rate. Childbirth can further stretch tissues and cause urinary incontinence, especially when you sneeze or laugh. Hormonal changes from perimenopause and menopause can mean dryness and loss of sensation, making sex less pleasurable (even painful).
A ThermiVa rejuvenation procedure stimulates collagen and elastin production and increases blood flow to the vaginal tissues. The ThermiVa machine has a thin probe attached to a wand. This delivers targeted energy that gently heats tissues inside and outside the vagina to provoke a regenerative healing response. The skin of the labia becomes less lax, internal tissues tighten, and nerve signaling is restored, improving both sensation and lubrication.
The Importance of Collagen
Collagen is a protein that makes your skin firm and elastic. The natural aging process can diminish collagen. When the skin has less collagen, it can lose it’s youthful appearance.
By using radiofrequency energy, skin is heated to stimulate and re-build your body’s own collagen, naturally.
Treaments using radiofrequency technology are widely used in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.

Are ThermiVa results permanent?
Understanding that your body continues to age and change, results are not always permanent. The cells in the vaginal lining are constantly regenerating and new cells may need the stimulation from the radiofrequency treatments to maintain your results.
On average, after a series of 3 ThermiVa treatments, a maintenance treatment should be done every 12–18 months.
ThermiVa Contraindications
Thermi® radiofrequency products should not be used on patients who are pregnant, have fever or skin infection in or around the area of application. Expected procedure side effects may include transient pain in procedure area, erythema and edema.
